Here is the beginning of the beautiful Karst Education Trail running from Lebica to the Krupa that shows visitors the interesting sites of the karst world in the most direct and effective way.

In Metlika Castle, the Bela krajina Museum presents the Bela krajina area from prehistoric times to the middle of the 20th century. Because the first volunteer fire brigade was founded here in 1869, Metlika also hosts the Slovene Firefighting Museum. The castle courtyard is enlivened in May by the Vinska vigred ("Wine Spring") festivities and in summer by the "Pridi zvečer na grad" ("Come to the castle tonight") cultural events.
