Its name originates from the period of the Turkish raids when the town was elevated to a borough ("trg")and became an important strategic and trade center. Particularly worth visiting are the parish church of Sv. Jožef from 1747 and the beautiful Church of Sv. Andrej-Kalvarija. Fourteen shrines mark the Stations of the Cross path that leads to Sv. Andrej-Kalvarija.

The main attraction of the park is the Lahinja River, but in the relatively small area of the park we can also find many interesting springs and various karst phenomena. In a loop of the river, we encounter several important cultural sites: the Klepčev mill, the "Venetian" sawmill, and the succursal All Saints Church. Many arranged and marked trails lead through the Park, and you can also tour the park with a knowledgeable guide.
