| ST. MARTIN'S AND
BELA KRAJINA |
Our first stop will be the source of Krupa River, which
is in the Regional Park, protected as a natural heritage.
The river comes to the surface under a 30m high cliff.
On a tourist farm we will be given a typical light meal,
then we will continue to Metlika. We will stop in the
castle of Metlika, where we will view a film about Bela
krajina and visit the rich collection in the Belokranjski
and Slovenian Firefighter's Museum. In Rosalnice we
will make a sightseeing of the three-pilgrimage gothic
churches Tri fare.
Drive to Drašiči, the centre of winegrowing in Bela
krajina. Here, they say, the love for growing vines
is put into every child's cradle, so they all become
excellent winegrowers. A male quartet will sing to us
some folk songs. At the end of the day we will have
short wine tasting and "St. Martin's" dinner.
