SCHEMATIC MAP

From Radenci we will ride towards Dol. In Dečina on the slope, directly alongside the trail, you can see a farm house, typical for Kočevje. From Dečina we will continue our trip towards the Sodevci state border and then turn right onto the trail running alongside the Kolpa River. We will ride past the former mills and sawmills of Prelesje. During our ride, we can stop at the numerous small camp-sites and bathe in the Kolpa River. We will continue our trip to Dol, where you can view the former Venetian sawmill and old farm house with a black kitchen. We will turn left and cross the bridge spanning the Dolski stream. The bridge has an interesting fence shaped like a boat. In Laze pri Predgradu we will ride along the Kopla River past two former mills. The village has a church called the Church of St. Vid and one of the numerous lithopunctural stone, illustrative of the energy points alongside the Kolpa River. We can see an example of overgrown vineyards north of the village on the slope above the road. We will soon arrive at Spodnja Bilpa, where the energy points alongside the Kolpa River begin. We can also view the Bilpa Spring and karst cave in the Bilpa cliff, from where witches were said to have flown towards Klek. We will continue towards Lobič, where in addition to the lithopunctural stone we will see the Kobilna Cave. We will then continue towards Gorenja Žaga. The  Jelovička and Mihova Caves arose here alongside the confluence of the Kotnica and Kolpa Rivers. We can take a break in Gorenja Žaga or  continue straight on towards Slavski Laz. Here you will see several wonderfully preserved old Kočevje houses. We will continue on to Fara and turn right onto the Petrina - Kočevje regional road. This will be followed by an ascent to the Tišenpolj Waterfalls on the Nežic Stream. Here we can rest and then continue on to Banja Loka.
